Alicja started her career a long time ago. She participated in lots of different sports growing up, but when her elementary school made everyone race in a local races she won most of them.

Once she started competing at a regional level, it became a lot harder to make top three, so she knew she had to take the next step. Alicja joined the only local running club and took training more seriously. Training became a daily habit that never went away.

The most prestigious race Alicja ever competed at was the 2019 IAAF World Championships in Doha. Very quickly she had to learn to refocus from her long-time running idols to herself.

She said, “It was hard, sitting next to the fastest runners in the world in the call-room. It definitely was a big turning point in my running career. I had to make myself think, 'you are one of them; the fastest in the world', and quickly refocus on my own goals for the race."Once she started competing at a regional level, it became a lot harder to make top three, so she knew she had to take the next step. Alicja loves to see athletes progress. She loves to work with runners and find out what they like to do and use it in their training, and she wants to help athletes discover and improve upon their weaknesses. She has worked with world-class coaches before, and she has seen different methodologies of training. Efficient and safe training is the key to anyone’s personal success.

Alicja is really excited about the upcoming Olympic Games, where she is hoping to qualify to represent her native Poland.

Her long term goal is to become the best runner she can possibly be and enjoy the journey. After that she is looking to become one of the best female coaches in the world. There's no doubt that her running career will serve as valuable experience in her coaching journey.
