Midwestern Flatlander to Mountain Runner
Emily was born in the flatlands of Wisconsin and found a love for running in the mountains while living in Bogotá, Colombia, where she has resided for the greater part of the last 10 years.
While she will always be a Midwesterner at heart, she feels most at home near the mountains. Her specialty includes anything from the marathon distance to 100k, and enjoys dabbling in “baby” ultra-trail races.
Emily began running more than 25 years ago when she joined her middle school cross country team and competed at the collegiate level. After college, she took a long break from competition until discovering trail running.
She believes it is never too late to fall in love with running.
