Nicole Hagobian holds a Ph.D. in Sport & Exercise Science with an emphasis in social psychology of exercise and sport from the University of Northern Colorado. Nicole is a form DI athlete in cross-country and track & field where she earned the Coach’s Award, Most Valuable Athlete and was a team captain. Post collegiately she competed in the 2004, 2008 and 2012 U.S. Olympic Trials in the marathon.
Some notable finishes are 4th at the 2002 US 25k championships, 8th at the 2002 US 7 mile championships, 16th at the 2004 Olympic Trials, 3rd (2nd American) at the 2004 Wharf to Wharf, 2nd (1st American) at the 2006 3M half marathon, 7th (2nd American) at the 2006 Cherry Blossom 10 mile, 7th at the 2007 Philadelphia marathon and 3rd (2nd American) at the 2011 Wharf to Wharf. Today Nicole competes as a master’s runner and has dabbled in some trail races, placing 1st woman in the Wild Cherry Canyon ½ marathon trail race and 1st woman in the Mt. Tam 30k trail race both in 2016.


Dr. Hagobian has taught higher education for over 14 years, coached teams from the youth through community college levels and served as a sport psychology consultant for individual athletes, teams and coaches, accumulating over 500 hours of consulting experience. It is her strong belief that athletes at all levels can benefit from training their mental fitness.
